We value your input and participation!
Thank you for filling out our questionnaire! Along with our understanding of resume content best practices, we will use the questionnaire to assess your job search and determine discussion point. But that is only the beginning! The consultation is our chance to learn what skills and achievements you feel represent you best. We are excited to meet you!
Prior to the meeting, gather the resume/material you shared for reference and find a quiet, private place to chat with us. This ensures we can communicate seamlessly, enabling us to gather the vital information necessary to deliver the highest quality product to you.
Get ready to promote yourself!
We are here to ask questions and gather strong, relevant information; the more you promote yourself, the more unique content we will have to integrate.
- Prepare for the consultation like it is a job interview. Take notes on what skills and successes you want to highlight from the last 5-10 years that most directly align with your job search. While different content is necessary based on your role/industry, many of the questions we ask focus on how you succeeded in your roles.
- Things to consider include results you produced/helped produce; positive changes you made; ways you supported executive decision making, colleagues, clients, or customers; projects and project results; what you are proud of; what you enjoy about your roles.
- For those of you with more than 15 years of experience, remember that we will most likely keep anything beyond 15 years at a minimum if we include it at all.
What to expect during the consultation
While every discussion is tailored based on your background and the materials you shared, ResumeSpice consultations follow this path:
- Introduction: We will discuss your job target & career objectives in relation to our plan of action & best practices to ensure we are on the same page about the resume’s focus.
- Q&A: We will ask you specific questions about your work experience, skills, and qualifications to fill in any gaps, clarify ambiguities, and identify achievements/new information.
- Closing and Next Steps: We will discuss anything we might need for additional services and inform you of the next steps in our process.
Project timeline and communication
You will receive an email from your consultant following your meeting. While this team member will keep you updated on your service progress, here are a few additional tidbits we'd like you to know:
- Delivery dates of resume revisions and additional products are contingent upon when we receive feedback, so we are not able to provide a completion timeline at the beginning of the service.
- While we strongly recommend providing feedback within 24-48 hours, you have up to seven calendar days to respond with comments and suggestions to your writer after you receive each reviewable draft. If we do not hear from you after more than seven calendar days, we may put your project on hold. But we will be here when you are ready to continue!
- We deliver one service at a time because we build cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and professional bios based on the resume information.
- Your consultant may reach out to you via text from the ResumeSpice lines during your project. This is to ensure you received information or if the consultant is having difficulty reaching you. Your consultant will not text you to solicit new business or suggest additional purchases.
If you'd like to share additional information or jobs of interest after you prepare, please direct insights to support@resumespice.com for inclusion in your project file.
